When cleaning the display screen of an electric vehicle charger, the principles of safety, gentleness and meticulousness should be followed to avoid damaging the equipment or affecting the user experience. The following are the specific steps and precautions:
Turn off the power supply.
Before cleaning, be sure to turn off the charger power or unplug the power cord to ensure that the device is in a power-off state and avoid the risk of electric shock.
Prepare tools and materials
Soft microfiber cloth: Avoid using rough fabrics or tissues to prevent scratching the screen.
Specialized cleaner (optional) : Choose an electronic device-specific cleaner that is alcohol-free, ammonia-free, and non-corrosive. If not, distilled water or deionized water can be used.
Small brush (optional) : Used for cleaning dust from the edges or crevices of the screen.
Preliminary dust removal
Gently wipe the screen surface with a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and particles on it.
If there is dust at the edge or in the crevices of the screen, you can use a small brush to gently sweep it away.
Moist and clean (if necessary)
If there are stubborn stains or fingerprints on the screen, you can slightly moisten a microfiber cloth (without dripping water), and then gently wipe the screen.
Note: Avoid directly spraying the cleaner or water on the screen to prevent the liquid from seeping into the interior of the device.
Dry thoroughly
Wipe the screen again with a dry microfiber cloth to ensure there is no residual moisture or cleaner.
Avoid using irritating cleaners
Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, acetone or other strongly corrosive chemicals, as these substances may damage the screen coating or cause the screen to turn yellow.
Avoid excessive force.
When cleaning, do not press the screen hard to avoid damaging the LCD panel or touch screen.
Prevent liquid infiltration
During the cleaning process, make sure that the liquid does not seep into the interfaces, crevices or other components of the charger to avoid short circuits or damage to the equipment.
Regular cleaning
It is recommended to clean the charger display screen regularly to maintain its clarity and extend its service life. Especially after use in an environment with a lot of dust or high humidity, it should be cleaned in time.
Stubborn stains
If there are stubborn stains on the screen (such as glue, oil stains, etc.), you can try using a small amount of special cleaner (such as screen cleaning wipes) to gently wipe, but be careful not to apply excessive force.
Screen scratches
If the screen already has scratches, be careful to avoid further damage when cleaning. For minor scratches, you can try using screen repair liquid (but use it with caution and ensure it is compatible with the screen material).
The touchscreen is not sensitive.
If the touchscreen is still not sensitive after cleaning, it might be a problem with the screen itself. It is recommended to contact a professional maintenance person for inspection.
Avoid contact with sharp objects
When using the charger, avoid letting sharp objects such as keys and coins come into contact with the screen to prevent scratches.
Use a protective case or film
If the charger is frequently used outdoors or in harsh environments, you can consider applying a protective film to the screen or using a protective case to reduce scratches and stains.
Storage environment
When not in use, store the charger in a dry and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight or high-temperature environments.
